NY State Senate Approves Budget
ALBANY---(WENY) The New York State Senate has approved an almost $136 billion budget that raises the minimum wage to $9.00 over three years. It also offers a $350.00 rebate to families with children. The State Senate also agreed to increase aid to local governments and school districts, and lowered taxes and fees. The Assembly plans to take a pass at the budget on Thursday. This will be the third time in a row the state will have met its April 1st deadline.
