Penn State Trustee Appeals Sanctions
State College (AP)--A Penn State Trustee is planning to appeal the NCCA sanctions against the school.
Monday, Trustee Ryan McCombie, filed an appeal with the NCAA over sanctions levied against Penn State after the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal.
McCombie, who is new to the university board, seeks due process over the strict sanctions handed to the football program.
Among the penalties was a four-year postseason ban and significant scholarship reductions. The university accepted the sanctions.
Last week, the NCCA said the penalties weren't subject to appeal after Joe Paterno's family said they planned to file one.
