NEW YORK--[WENY]--New York's highest court has ruled that Starbucks coffee barista's do not have to share there tips with Assistant Managers.
The court of appeals had previously ruled that since Assistant Managers do similar work to barista's they should be allowed to share tips. Starbucks said in a statement that they were pleased and agreed with the courts decision.
Hospitality groups believe this ruling will effect companies other than Starbucks.
