Tobacco Sales VS Prevention

SOUTHERN TIER -- (WENY) A report released by a public health organization shows states would rather collect the money from tobacco sales rather than pending it on prevention.
According to the report by a multiple health organizations, New York State will receive $2.3 billion dollars from tobacco-generated revenue in 2014.
But it will only spend $40 million dollars on tobacco prevention programs, tobacco use is the number one cause of preventable death in the U.S.
It kills more than 400,000 Americans each year.
