PSU Trustee Steps Down
Garban Steps Down
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa (WENY)---The fallout in the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse case continues. The former chairman of the Penn State University board of trustees has resigned.
Steve Garban is the first trustee to step down. Garban has been harshly crticized over his handling of the crisis.
An internal investigation by former FBI director Louis Freeh found Garban was briefed twice about developments in the Sandusky case but didn't share what he knew with the entire board.
Sandusky was convicted last month of sexually abusing 10 boys, sometimes on campus.
