Horseheads Football Looks for Respect
Written By: Andy Malnoske
For most of the 1990's, Horseheads football was a power in Section 4. The Blue Raiders won three straight Section 4 crowns, but haven't had much success in recent years. Now, they'll have to start their season without head coach Damien Saks, who had recent back surgery. Saks should return for the season opener at Elmira, but above all, Horsheads would like to return to its winning form this year. Plus, Horseheads native Joey Sindelar returns to Endicott for the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, and, Syracuse men's basketball will play a PSAC school this upcoming year.
