Ally Debicki joined the WENY News team in April 2017 as the weekend weather anchor and multi media journalist. Originally from South Jersey, she is excited to call the Twin Tiers home!
Ally graduated from Penn State University, spring of 2017, with a degree in Meteorology Forecasting and Communications. During her time in Happy Valley, Ally worked with The Campus Weather Service, Centre County Report and Weather or Not. Ally also worked as a weather observer for The National Weather Service and a Weather World producer at the Walker Building on campus.
Ally was inspired to learn about the weather when she was a young girl. Her fear of the wind sparked her interest for meteorology and the importance of communicating it. As a Jersey Native, Ally often frequents the sandy shores of Ocean City with her family and friends and loves to swim in the ocean. Ally also loves working with animals and enjoys taking her own dog for walks to the park.
Ally is a member of the National Weather Association and a 2017 Outstanding Achievement in Broadcast award recipient.
