Wellsboro bookstore ownership contest
WELLSBORO, PA (WENY) - An essay and $75, that’s all it could take for you to own a bookstore.
The owners of “From My Shelf” in Wellsboro, Kasey and Kevin Coolidge , are looking to sell their shop, but they’re doing it in a unique way. The contest is simple. Contestants pay a $75 dollar entry fee and write a 250-word essay on why a bookstore is important to a community.
If 4,000 people enter, the owners will pick the top 20 essays. A panel of impartial judges will then choose the winner.
If less than 4,000 people enter, the owners will return the entry fees and continue to run the bookstore.
For the list of rules and an entry form, visit From My Shelf Books & Gifts website at www.wellsborobookstore.com or the Facebook page beginning Saturday, July 1. You also call the owners Kasey and Kevin at 570-724-5793.
