WAVERLY, N.Y. (WENY) -- A Waverly woman is facing several charges after being accused of throwing boiling water on a man during a domestic incident.

According to the Waverly Police Department, 43-year-old Nicole Brown was charged with two counts of felony assault, and misdemeanor criminal mischief and menacing.

Police say back last thursday, officers were called out to a home on Elliott Street.

Brown allegedly threw boiling water on the victim, causing severe injury. She's also accused of trying to stab the victim, and herself.

After being taken to the hospital for medical treatment, she was arrested for being a fugitive from justice in Sayre, Pennsylvania.

She was taken to the Bradford County Jail the same night, and transported back to Waverly on Monday to be arraigned.

Brown was sent to the Tioga County New York Jail on $25,000 cash or $50,000 property bail.
