ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Murder suspect Akeem Williams is will waiting for a verdict from the jury.
Williams is facing charges of second degree murder and second degree criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Tiko Head in June 2016.
The first trial earlier this year ended in a mistrial, when the jury was unable to reach a verdict.
Witnesses say Williams and Head got into an argument over a missing Xbox before Head was fatally shot.
Williams took the stand earlier today and claims Head was the one with the handgun which went off as Williams tried to wrestle it away.
Williams admitted to taking the gun from the scene, but says he did not fire it again.
After a few hours of deliberation, the judge decided to recess for the day and reconvene tomorrow at 9AM.
