Ithaca Police investigating armed home invasion and gunshots

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Ithaca Police Department is investigating an army home invasion that happened on the 100 block of North Plain Street on Saturday night.

Police say they received multiple calls of shots fired around 10:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found two victims who said they were robbed.

The victims told police that two men wearing masks and carrying guns forced their way into an apartment. One of the victims claimed that they were hit in the head by a suspect with a weapon.

Police say the suspects reportedly got away with items from the apartment.

The suspects were last seen leaving the area on North Plain Street headed north in a red sedan.
