Chemung County, N.Y. (WENY)-- Construction is well under way at the Elmira Corning regional airport, but there's still a lot of work to be done. That includes changes to ride-sharing at the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport.
There will be a public hearing breaking down ride-sharing provisions Monday night. Airport officials have been trying to strike up an agreement with Uber. In exchange for permission to pick up passengers from the airport, Uber would have to pay a $2 fee per passenger to Chemung County. Lyft has already agreed to that provision. However, Uber has been unresponsive to the airports requests thus far.
Monday night's public hearing is at the Hazlett Building at 6:55pm.
