Donations Sought for Wreaths Across America at Woodlawn National Cemetery

ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- Your help is needed to help honor military members and veterans laid to rest at Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira.

Cameron Manufacturing is seeking local assistance to take part in the upcoming Wreaths Across America Day. It's a nationwide event where holiday wreaths are laid at the headstones at national cemeteries across the country.

You can make a donation to purchase a wreath, with will be placed at Woodlawn on December 16th. You can also sign up to become a volunteer to take part in a wreath-laying ceremony. There's been 289 wreaths secured so far; there are 7,800 graves at Woodlawn National Cemetery. Another 102 people have signed up to volunteer.
