ELMIRA HEIGHTS, N.Y. (WENY) - The Chemung County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into a fundraiser held in Elmira Heights over the weekend.

According to the Sheriff's Office, they received multiple phone calls about the "Paw Patrol Meet and Greet Pizza Party." It was held at the Elmira Heights Legion on November 19th. Callers said the event organizers stated all proceeds would be donated to charity. Some of the callers also expressed concern in reference to the 50/50 raffles held during the event. According to the Sheriff's Office, callers said the payouts didn't appear to reflect how much money was collected.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who purchased tickets to the event or donated in another manner to contact them. You can call the Criminal Investigation Division at (607) 737-2933. You can also visit the sheriff's webpage here and send an email to the Criminal Investigation Division.
