UPDATE: "Armed and Dangerous" teen from Florida captured in New York State

UPDATE 11:30 P.M. -- According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Logan Mott has been found.

Mott was taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Canadian Border crossing near Buffalo, N.Y.


JACKSONVILLE, FL. (WENY) -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for a teenager who's believed to be armed and dangerous, and a person of interest in a murder case. Police say he was last seen in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

15-year-old Logan Mott is wanted for grand theft auto, and is a person of interest in the murder of his grandmother, Kristina French.

Mott is believed to be driving a 2015 Dodge Dart (Silver), with Florida plates DLL-T42.

POLICE SAY DO NOT APPROACH HIM OR THE CAR - CALL POLICE.

Authorities in Florida are offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to his apprehension.

Mott is a type-1 diabetic, and will require insulin shots.

Mott and his grandmother were reported missing on Tuesday.

His grandmother, French, was found dead. Her body was placed in makeshift grave in her backyard. Mott's father also discovered that his gun safe broken into, and guns were stolen.

Logan Mott, 15 years old is wanted for Auto Theft and is a person of interest in the death of Kristina French, his grandmother. He is likely in a 2015 silver Dodge Dart with Florida tag DLL T42. Both pictures are of him, but currently his hair is like the picture on left, very short.

We believe he is in the Northeast USA. Seen yesterday in Pennsylvania. Call 911 if you see him. If you see a Florida tag in the Northeast, pay attention. It might be wanted Logan Mott.
