HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- Residents in the village of Horseheads were in the holiday spirit with their thirty-third annual "Holly Days" event.
The celebration took place in the center of Hanover Square.
Officials closed off the entire four-way intersection to make way for the event.
This year, residents could visit with local vendors, grab something to eat, watch a variety of stage performances, and even have their child ride the holiday train.
All while spreading holiday cheer within the community.
"I think it's one of those opportunities for the community to come together, celebrating the holiday's," said Village of Horseheads Parks and Recreation Director, Nathan Nagle. "It's great that we're being able to be outside, particularly this year, just to enjoy the holiday season."
At the end of the night, Santa Claus was on hand to help with the lighting of the tree in the center of the square.
"Holly Days" is held on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving.
