Two Southport residents arrested in stolen credit card case

SOUTHPORT, N.Y. (WENY) --  Two Southport residents were arrested for allegedly burglarizing a home, and using a stolen credit card.

According to the Chemung County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Andrew P. Hootman and 24-year-old Marina M. Stevens were arrested.

Both were charged with possession of stolen property, a felony.

After an investigation, authorities say the credit card was stolen from a home in Southport. Both Hootman and Stevens were additionally charged with felony burglary.

The card in question was allegedly used at a local retailer on November 29th.

Both were arraigned in the Town of Southport, and sent to the Chemung County Jail. Bail for Hootman was set at $5,000. Stevens' bail was set at $2,500.
