ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Elmira Kiwanis Club held their annual holiday auction Tuesday evening.
The auction was held at the Elmira Holiday Inn.
Local residents could go and bid on a wide variety of items ranging from Buffalo Bills tickets, to golf clubs.
The big ticket item of the night was a passenger bus to take the highest bidder and fifty-six others on a wine tour through the Finger Lakes.
The auction is the club's biggest event of the year as they aim to raise money for local scholarships.
"We give scholarships for athletes four times a year and we also give scholarships at the end of the school year based on academic record," said Elmira Kiwanis Club President, Sharon Sitrin-Moore. "So whatever comes in just allows us to give bigger scholarships and more scholarships and they all go within the Elmira community."
Among other things visitors could take part in were a fifty-fifty raffle and a cash bar.
The Elmira Kiwanis Club will be celebrating their one-hundredth anniversary next year.
