WAVERLY, NY (WENY) -- A two-time convicted felon from Troy, PA is back behind bars after a multi-state car chase which happened over the weekend.
Waverly Police say 37-year-old Jason Rockwell of Troy, Pennsylvania was arrested Sunday night after he failed to stop for police in Pennsylvania.
Rockwell was driving a Ford Mustang on RT 220 North in Sayre when police attempted to pull him over.
He continued to drive across the state line, eventually stopping on Chemung Street in the Village of Waverly.
Police say they found he was hiding a loaded .22 pistol under the driver's seat. He was also found in possession of one Fentanyl patch.
Rockwell was placed under arrest and taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed he is a convicted felon in both Broome and Chemung counties.
Rockwell is facing several charges including felony possession of a weapon, and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Waverly justice court on Monday and taken to the Tioga County, New York Jail on $100,000 cash bail.
Rockwell is due back in court on Thursday.
