Corning Man Facing Child Abuse Charges

Corning, N.Y. (WENY) - A Corning man has been arrested and is facing child abuse charges.

36-year old Chad Felker was arrested on Friday for allegedly hitting a 14-year-old in the eye with an unspecified object, causing temporary visual impairment, redness, swelling, and bruising. 

The alleged incident occurred in September, but was not reported to police until Thursday. 

Felker is charged with two felonies; second degree assault and third degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was also charged with one misdemeanor; endangering the welfare of a child. 

Felker was released on his own recognizance with an order of protection to stay away from the victim.
