ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Ithaca Police Police Department is asking for help in finding the person or persons responsible for a rash of BB gun shootings.
Police say they received multiple calls over the last several days for damaged windows. Around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, police got another report on Cayuga Street. A 14-year-old suspect was found nearby, allegedly in possession of a BB gun.
Police believe others are involved.
Chief of Police Pete Tyler said, “The officers did a great job today capturing the suspect. We believe there are others involved, though. I am asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) in these incidents. Someone probably knows who the other people are that are involved. Please be vigilant and notify police of any suspicious behavior that you observe”.
