Tioga, P.A. Woman Falls Victim to Fraud Scheme

Tioga, P.A. (WENY) - A woman from Tioga Township, Pennsylvania has fallen victim to a fraud scheme. 

The victim received a message on her computer stating that she needed to contact a phone number or she would be be permanently locked out of her computer.

While speaking with an individual claiming to work for Microsoft, the victim gave her bank account information. The individual then emptied the victims savings account, checking account, and maxed out her credit card. 

The total amount stolen was $21,575.
