CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- Residents in the City of Corning are dealing with a water main break near Denison Parkway. The break happened near Corning Center near East First Street on Tuesday evening.
Denison Parkway was partially shutdown between Steuben Street and Chemung Street. City officials say DPW workers will be out on-scene all night as they work to restore service. Our reporter who responded on scene says the most of the water turned to ice.
Several Corning residents reached out to us on social media about the problem - they reported seeing very low water pressure, or no water at all. Some residents also said they had really brown water and air coming out of their faucets.
WENY News will follow this story, and will bring you any updates as we get them.
