ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - The Elmira Police Department is asking for victims of the recent string of BB gun shootings to submit invoices of the damage.
Police say there were at least 41 incidents in the city of Elmira alone. They're asking any victims to bring a copy of the estimate or invoicing show the replacement cost so their cases can be included in restitution considerations.
The invoices/estimates can be dropped off to the front desk of the police department at any time. EPD says the desk officer will also provide a form that needs to be completed.
The department is asking that all estimates/invoices be submitted by Friday, January 5th.
