Elmira man charged with murder in connection to October shooting

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - An Elmira man is facing a murder charge in connection to an October shooting on West Gray Street.

According to police, 27-year-old Marquis McKinney has been charged with 2nd degree Murder and two counts of 2nd degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

McKinney was arraigned on the charges Friday and sent to the Chemung County Jail on $500,000 cash bail.

As WENY previously reported, 30-year-old Elmira man Devoshay Adams died at a local hospital after suffering a gunshot wound around 4am October 29th.
