11:00PM: Steuben County officials say nearly all residents in the hamlet of Campbell are home after evacuations were ordered earlier in the afternoon. Steuben County Emergency Services Director Tim Marshall says gas and electrical utilities were shut off to about 11 homes due to flood damage, however no one required shelter at the American Red Cross station set up in the Savona Elementary School. That shelter is now closed.
Emergency officials are advising residents to prepare for the predicted ice/sleet and snow storm overnight. The storm is expected to bring as much as six to 12 inches of snow across Steuben County.
5:30PM: Steuben county officials have announced a local state of emergency has been issues for the Hamlet of Campbell, as of 2:45PM Friday.
An evacuation order is in effect immediately; residents are being asked to leave their homes immediately and seek shelter at Savona Elementary School at 64 East Lamoka Avenue.
