ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - One of the alleged Chemung County vandals was released through Project for Bail after his arraignment Friday.

Jayden Elia is accused of vandalizing around 70 properties throughout the Southern Tier back in December. He was indicted by a grand jury on 7 counts of 2nd degree Criminal Mischief and one count of 3rd degree Criminal Mischief. He and Waverly resident, Cody Keller, are accused of using pellet guns to damage windows at multiple businesses and cars.

Elia was released on Project for Bail because of his lack of criminal history. He'll continue to be monitored as the case progresses. He's due back in court on March 16th.

Keller was also indicted by a grand jury on 7 counts of 2nd degree Criminal Mischief and one count of 3rd degree Criminal Mischief. He's scheduled to be arraigned on February 14th.
