Ithaca police investigate reports of male exposing himself and grabbing women

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Ithaca Police Department reports they were dispatched to Cascadilla St. and N. Geneva St. for a reported assault on February 15, 2018. When officers arrived, they found a woman who claimed she was forcibly grabbed in intimate parts of her body by a male while she was walking in that area. The woman says the male fled southbound on Albany St.. The woman was not injured. 

Then, around 7:38PM, IPD says they responded to the 400 block of N. Tioga St. for a report of a man exposing his private parts to a woman walking in the area. The suspect then fled southbound on N. Tioga St. on foot. 

IPD officials say the description of the male involved in both instances is described as a white male, approximately 5'8" tall, slim build, with dark pants, a black or dark-colored hoodie or sweatshirt, and a dark-colored baseball hat. Both incidents are being investigated separately from the other until further investigation is complete. Anyone with information is asked to call IPD tipline at 607-330-0000.
