Suspects Arraigned in Elmira Death Investigation, Bail Set

Elmira, N.Y. (WENY)-- The three men accused of killing a man then dumping his body in a dumpster behind the Samaritan Center in Elmira earlier this week have been arraigned.

     36-year-old Fabian Bonaparte was sent to the Chemung County Jail on $250,000 bail. 20-year-old Kharii Monroe was sent to the Chemung County Jail on $80,000 bail. 17-year-old Jullian Rivera was sent to the Chemung County Jail on $80,000 bail. All three will appear back in Elmira City Court on Monday March 5th at 1:00PM for a preliminary hearing. All three suspects are charged with 1st Degree Manslaughter.

     The three are accused of killing the victim by striking him in the head, then dumping his body in a dumpster on Elmira's Southside. The body was discovered in the early morning hours on Tuesday morning after a witness reported to police he saw a fight and a person being carried away. When police arrived on scene, they found a body in a dumpster, and the victim was already deceased.
