ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - The Chemung County Library District is asking for the public's input as it plans for the future.
CCLD has started a strategic planning process to guide their services for the next three years. The plan will act as a roadmap for the library.
As part of the process, the District is asking the community to participate in a survey on how officials can improve library services.
Library District Director Ron Shaw said community input is essential to the process"
“We're here for the community,” Shaw says. “We'd like the information about what the community wants. We know we can't be all things to all people. Priorities will be developed based on the feedback about how best to allocate resources.”
District officials say the survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You can find it here.
The results will be posted on the district's website. The final version of the Library's Strategic Plan will be shared with the public once it has been approved by the Board of Trustees.
