'Snow Emergency' In The Borough Of Sayre

SAYRE BOROUGH, PA (WENY) -- A Snow Emergency is now in effect for the Borough of Sayre.

During this time, residents are required to remove their vehicles from streets designated as Snow Emergency Routes.

Vehicles that remain on designated Snow Emergency Routes will be ticketed and/or towed.

Permanent snow emergency streets in Sayre Borough include:
Bradford Street, Cayuta Street, Desmond Street, North Elmer Avenue, South Elmer Avenue, Harris Street, North Lehigh Avenue, South Lehigh Avenue, Lincoln Street, West Lockhart Street, Powell Street, Mohawk Street, West Packer Avenue, Frank Street, Stevenson Street, North Thomas Avenue, Cedar Street, North Wilbur Avenue, and South Wilbur Avenue.  

The Snow Emergency is canceled after the Winter Storm Warning expires, but the Borough may decide to continue the Snow Emergency if necessary.  
Recycling collection for residents living in Zone #3 that was scheduled for collection on Friday has been canceled, and the next recycling day for Zone #3 will be on Monday, March 19th.
