ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Domestic Violence and sexual assault cases know no boundaries, and affect communities everywhere.
The "No More" campaign wants to spread awareness and help put an end to it all on a local and national level.
Kristine Morseman gave some great insight on the cause this afternoon. She plays a big role promoting causes like this, being the Victim Serivces and Housing Supervisor for Catholic Charities of Chemung & Schuyler Counties. She told us, "A lot of times, domestic abuse goes under reported, as well as sexual assaults. It's really to break the stigma."
"It's to say that nobody deserves to be abused. There's absolutely no excuses, that's the entire point of the week. Whether you were drunk, whether you are flirty, whether you've had relations in the past. There's none, no excuse whatsoever why somebody should be the victim of violence or sexual assault."
