WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- Tomorrow will be the last chance to weigh in on how you think Watkins Glen should use its 10-million dollar revitalization money. This effort will seek to improve the area's local economy by bringing more wealth and tourism in year-round.
Bringing young talent back to the area post-education is a major goal of the initiative as well. We were able to talk with a local student from Watkins Glen High School to get her thoughts on being able to have a voice for the DRI.
Makenna Fraboni said, "I think that the students are having a great opportunity to voice their opinions. And, I think that through this ten million dollar grant that we have, we'll be able to do things that will make the students want to stay here more and want to come back to this area after we leave for college."
Again, if you want your voice heard, the final workshop for the D-R-I in Watkins Glen will be held tomorrow
