Corning Man Accused of Choking a Child

Corning, N.Y. (WENY)-- A Corning man is facing charges after he was accused of choking a child under the age of 17.

     The Steuben County Sheriff's Office arrested 35-year-old Terry Wilson Jr, and charged him with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrest comes after an investigation from information received from a Steuben County School Resource Officer. The information is in regards to an alleged domestic violence incident that happened Wednesday night inside a Corning residence. Wilson Jr. is accused of putting his hands on around a child's throat, and applying pressure.

     Wilson Jr. was arraigned and sent to the Steuben County Jail on $1,000 bail. He was able to post his bail, and has been released from the jail. Wilson Jr. is scheduled to return to Corning Town Court on April 5th.
