Corning Man Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Market Street Employees With a Knife

CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- A man was arrested Thursday, April 10 at about 6 p.m. after threatening employees with a knife at a business on West Market Street in Corning's Gaffer District. 

According to police, 18-year-old Kyle Horton of Corning was arrested after allegedly attempting to gain entry to the business and threatening employees with a knife. 

Police as say that Horton allegedly was told to stay away from the business earlier in the day and later returned armed with a knife and with the intent to attack and assault the employees. 

Horton was charged with Attempted Burglary, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Menacing. 

He was arraigned in the City of Corning Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of bail in the amount of $5,000 cash or $10,000 property bond. 

He is scheduled to reappear in City of Corning Court.
