Now officials in Chemung County want neighbors to weigh in on a Hazard Mitigation Action Plan.
H2O Partners wants to hear from residents this Thursday, facing these natural hazards first hand.
Officials are looking for input and ideas they can use to help reduce the impact of severe weather. The goal of the Hazard Mitigation Action Plan is to eliminate or reduce any unnecessary potential risks.
Thursday's meeting is open to the public. It's happening at the Big Flats Community Center on Maple Street and goes from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
