WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- The 4th of July, food trucks, and films. That's what was going on in Watkins Glen Wednesday night at the weekly Clute Park Market and Food Truck Rodeo.
The market and food truck rodeo is held on Wednesdays in July and August and features local farmers, crafts and food trucks for people to come and enjoy. People could choose from a variety of different food vendors offering things like donuts, tacos and even locally grown veggies. Then at dusk, Movies on the Lake held a special fourth of July screening of "Independence Day" for people to enjoy.
"One of the most American things we can do is come together as a community and support our small businesses," said Clute Park Market and Food Truck Rodeo manager, Sara Caldwell. "So I'm grateful every week when people come to the market and see what entrepreneurs are doing in our community because it's a vibrant small business community. I'm so glad that not only my vendors could come, but that so many people would choose to spend the fourth of July, both enjoying the lake and coming to support these small businesses that put their heart and soul into everything they do."
