Two Men Arrested Following a Burglary Investigation in Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) – Two people have been arrested following an investigation into a burglary that happened on June 9.

According to the Ithaca Police Department, officers responded to a commercial business in the 400 block of Franklin Street regarding a burglary that happened on the night of June 9.

Officers determined a rock was thrown through the window and multiple electronics and other items were stolen from within the store.

The cost of replacing the stolen items and repairing the damage to the store totaled about $4,200.

During the investigation, police determined the two suspects in the case were 35-year-old Matthew Booker and 47-year-old Maurice Marshall.

On June 22, IPD officers located Marshall. He was arrested and transported to the IPD Headquarters for booking.

Marshall was charged with one count of Burglary in the Third Degree and arraigned in the Ithaca City Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.

On June 26, IPD officers located Booker. He was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary in the Third Degree.

He was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and sent to the Tompkins County Jail on $4,000 bail.
