Southern Tier Jazz Festival Returns For 7th Year

Southern Tier, N.Y. (WENY)-- Lace up your dancing shoes, the 7th annual Ferrario Southern Tier Jazz Festival is happening Friday night and all day Saturday.

Friday night's events kick off at 6:00pm at the First Arena with hors-d'oeuvres before the performance. Then at 7:00pm, Selina Albright, a soul singer, and Brian Simpson on the keyboard will take the stage.

The Ferrario Southern Tier Jazz Festival continues Saturday at Thorne Street Park in Horseheads, starting at 2:00pm. Throughout the day, you can catch performances from local band Top Shelf, Cindy Bradley on the trumpet, Jeff Kashiwa and his Saxophone, Marcus Johnson on the keyboard, and saxophonist Phillip "Doc" Martin. Families are encouraged to bring picnic baskets and beverages, although there will be food for sale at the event, provided by the CFJP Bistro.

Attendees can also enter to win raffle prizes, and shop local vendors.
