Rome man arrested for allegedly assaulting, threatening to kill two people

ROME BOROUGH, PA. (WENY) – A Rome man has been arrested after allegedly threatening to kill two people and burn down their home.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Raymond Dotson II, 48, allegedly made the threats.

Police say they responded to a report of a man who made threats on Bliss Road.

According to officers, the investigation revealed Dotson allegedly threatened to kill a man and a woman and burn down their home while it was occupied by several people, including small children.

Dotson then allegedly tried to hit the victims and chased them across State Route 187 on foot.

The two victims then reportedly ran to the Dandy Mart across the street and called 911.

Police say Dotson was located shortly after and taken into custody.

He was charged with making terroristic threats and assault. He was sent to the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $100,000 bail.
