Massachusetts man arrested after allegedly sexually abusing child in Avoca

AVOCA, N.Y. (WENY) – The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of Bath have arrested a Massachusetts man stemming from a joint investigation with the Steuben County Child Protection Services into child endangerment allegations.

38-year-old Adam Sullivan of Westfield, Massachusetts, was arrested on September 4 and charged with one count each of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

According to investigators, between February and March 2017, while at a home in the Town of Avoca, Sullivan allegedly subjected a child less than 11-years-old to sexual contact.

Sullivan was sent to the Steuben County Jail on $10,000 bail and is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Avoca Court on September 12.
