TBEX Conference Brings New Customers To Local Businesses In Corning

Corning, NY (WENY) – People from all over the world have gathered at the Corning Museum of Glass for the TBEX conference which kicked off earlier Wednesday morning. TBEX is the largest conference and networking event for bloggers, journalists and new media content creators. 650 people from 40 different countries will be mingling with one another and exploring everything the Finger Lakes region has to offer! New faces in town means new opportunities for local businesses to increase sales.

“Corning is a unique mix of wonderful touristy as well as stable everyday businesses and wonderful eating places, restaurants, bars, beers and burgers and its great, and these people love it here,” says Kitty Erlacher, Owner of Erlacher Steuben Glass Collection.

Only a twenty minute ride away from wine country, tourist have plenty to do while in the Finger Lakes.

“It's huge for the area, and not just for us but for all the shops, every other restaurant. Anytime there is any sort of event, people come into the area, it's really just good for the economy. Working with the small business in the area, any sort of tourism attraction really does help,” says Doug Collins, Server at Market Street Brewing Company.

Market street in downtown corning has been packed all week with people attending the TBEX Conference, leaving little to no parking for regulars. The conference ends on Friday but tourists are expected to continue to check out the area for the next few days.
