Howard, N.Y. (WENY)-- A convicted felon out on parole is back behind bars after being arrested on gun and drug charges.
New York State Police arrested 30-year-old John A. Dellapenna on Wednesday. Dellapenna, a Howard resident, was found to be in possession of a loaded Glock 9mm handgun containing a 30-round magazine, a loaded AR-15 Rifle containing a 30-round magazine, and a quantity of methamphetamine.
Dellapenna is charged with 4 counts of Criminal Possession of a weapon, and 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was arraigned in the Village of Bath and remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail.
Our records show Dellapenna was arrested back in November 2011 and charged with 1st Degree Burglary for breaking into a home in the Village of Savona and demanding money from three female residents.
