Man Arrested for Allegedly Harassing Woman While He was Already in Jail

WAYLAND, N.Y. (WENY) – New York State Police in Bath have arrested a man who allegedly harassed a woman while he was in the Steuben County Jail on an unrelated charge.
According to police, 28-year-old Gary Wilson was arrested after he allegedly made hundreds of phone calls to a woman in Wayland while he was incarcerated.

Wilson allegedly made these phone calls while knowing there was an order of protection in place prohibiting him from communication with her.

For this incident, Wilson has been charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree.

Wilson was arraigned in the Town of Bath court and sent back to the Steuben County Jail with no bail due to prior felony convictions.
