HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- Today in Horseheads, the 7th annual Fall Fest celebration was held at the Chemung County Fairgrounds. From late Saturday morning through the afternoon, several local residents stopped by to see what all the vendors on hand had to offer.
This year featured a good mix of agriculture, holiday themed items, and even some basic coding technology for kids. Also in attendance were the Chemung County Dairy Princesses, working to educate youth on the dairy industry in the Southern Tier.
Fall Fest Organizer Nikole Watts told WENY, "Today we are celebrating the 7th Annual Chemung County Fall Festival here at the Chemung County Fairgrounds. We have about 50 vendors here to sell their local products. Everything is from Chemung County. It's also just a nice day to come out and celebrate the start of fall."
Overall, it was a great way to end the first week of October, despite the weather not feeling much like fall.
