BIG FLATS, N.Y. (WENY) -- The time has finally arrived. Officials at the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport tell WENY News the year-long construction project, totally around $58 million, will be unveiled to the public on Friday, November 2nd.
The event is expected to feature local, county and state officials for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
Back in 2016, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo first announced a $40 million grant award through the Upstate Airport Economic Development and Revitalization Competition Funding to jumpstart the airports redesign.
