AMBER Alert canceled, Rochester teen and suspect both found

UPDATE (1:43 P.M.) According to the Associated Press, the girl's mother, Linda Hollaert, says her daughter is being treated at a Manhattan hospital. She says Gonzalez, one of her neighbors, is in the custody of the New York Police Department.

UPDATE: The AMBER Alert for Joanna Coates has been cancelled. 

According to 13WHAM News in Rochester, Coates and 41-year-old suspect Robert Gonzalez were found. Police say they are working to bring them both back to Rochester. 

(WENY) -- New York State Police have issued an Amber Alert for a Rochester-area teen. NYSP are searching for teenager Joanna Coates. She is described as a white female, approximately 14-years-old, with brown hair and green eyes. She's also about 5 feet 4 inches tall and around 100 pounds. 

Joanna was last seen wearing Timberland boots, a blue Nike sweatshirt and black leggings. 

The Rochester City Police Department is investigating this case as a child abduction, which happened on LaSalle Street in Rochester, New York around 7:00 p.m. Saturday night (December 1st). 

The suspect is Robert Gonzales. Police describe him as a Hispanic man, about 41-years-old with black hair and brown eyes. He's about 6 feet tall and roughly 185 pounds. 

Police say Gonzales was last seen traveling Southeast and possibly heading for New York City. 

NYSP say Joanna Coates was taken under circumstances which lead police to believe she could be in imminent danger of serious harm, and or death.
