TIOGA COUNTY, PA (WENY) - Mansfield Police arrested a woman and man after checking on the safety of a child.

Police say they were called to Station Road to help assist Tioga County Children and Youth Services on Thursday, January 3rd. On arrival, they detected a gaseous odor coming from the garage at the location. After receiving verbal and written consent, a search was conducted. The search concluded in obtaining methamphetamine precursors and evidence of a one-pot-lab. Law officials say charges will be filed through District Court, after laboratory results are received. The child was located at another residence.

Police arrested a 39-year-old male of Tioga, PA, and a 58-year-old female of Lawrenceville, PA. Their names were not released.

Members from PSP's Vice Unit and Clandestine team were on scene.
