Just after 7:30 Wednesday morning, police say they responded to the intersection of Grand Central Avenue and Fletcher Street.

After investigation, officers say the pedestrian was hit while in the crosswalk, crossing Grand Central Avenue. They were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver involved was also transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The driver has been ticketed for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
