Mansfield University Receives Grant To Combat Sexual Violence

Posted: Updated:

Mansfield, P.A. (WENY)-- Mansfield University is receiving a grant to help combat, address, and respond to sexual violence.

Officials with the school say the more than $23,000 in funding will be used to expand efforts in Title IX and sexual misconduct awareness. The money will allow the school to create programming for students and the community. The money is coming from Governor Tom Wolf's "It's On Us P.A." grant program.

“We have applied for this grant the past 4 years, and with the help of our Grants and Sponsored Programs Director Phil Swank, we finally received the funding for Mansfield University,” Dean of Students Frank Crofchick said in a news release.

Mansfield University says encouraging healthy relationships among the students is a high priority, and this grant will help them reinforce that message. 37 other schools across the Keystone State are receiving funding as part of the program as well.
